I currently work as a photographer at Western Illinois University in the Visual Production Center. Before returning to WIU I worked as a photojournalist in Clinton, Iowa at The Clinton Herald and in Rockford, Illinois at The Rockford Register Star. In 2016 I completed a photography internship with the Arizona Diamondbacks where I spent the whole season working alongside the team photographer. I graduated from Western Illinois University in December 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Journalism and a minor in Photographic Media. While at WIU I was a student photographer for the Visual Production Center on campus shooting things from events to sports to assisting the head photographers. This was my first photography job and I was able to learn and redefine my passion. I enjoy going outside of my comfort zone and shooting things from portraits to breaking news to sports in a fast paced environment. One thing that I try to achieve every time I shoot is to present a photograph that shows true human emotion.
